As you can see, a single college application can take 40, 50, or even more hours to complete on your own. The long essays are particularly time-intensive and can take weeks or even months to finish. No wonder students procrastinate until application deadlines are almost upon them! Typically the result is then a "hurried" application with little or no quality and one that fails to convey desired impressions or even the applicant's true character and personality.
But here's your chance to do it differently. Our unique Application Workshop was designed to take most of the work and worry out the application process by replacing procrastination with action. Students enrolled in the workshop meet for 4 or 8 weeks, accumulating a total of 24 action-packed hours. As part of the workshop, participants draft several versions of their main and supplemental essays, get important feedback from instructors and other group members, and then use this information to produce more polished versions of their essays. In addition, participants in the workshop get advice and direction for complying with other all requirements of the application process in accordance with a set schedule, which means they will have their applications done and in the mail long before the due date. Then they can relax and watch everyone else scramble to meet college deadlines! Mom and Dad benefit too by being spared the worry and frustration that usually accompany waiting for students to get around to completing applications on their own. Here's a glimpse at what you'll do in the Application Workshop, step-by-step:
That's it. In as little as one calendar month all your essays and applications are done and in the mail! What better way to launch your college career than with such a definite and positive plan of action.
